About Our Platform

Word of Mouth is a job marketplace and community-based platform designed to connect individuals, businesses, and opportunities. The app allows users to create profiles, explore job listings, interact within a community environment, and access subscription-based features. While we aim to provide a reliable and valuable service, we do not guarantee job placement, employment outcomes, or the accuracy of opportunities shared on the platform.

Eligibility & Account Registration

To use the app, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding agreement. By registering, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and truthful information, including your full name, phone number, and identification details. Your phone number will serve as your account identifier, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account. You are also responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Providing false identification information, misrepresenting your identity, or attempting to impersonate another individual is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

User Conduct

Users agree to use the platform responsibly and ethically. You must not post false or misleading job listings, engage in harassment or abusive behavior, impersonate others, distribute illegal or fraudulent content, or attempt to disrupt or compromise the functionality or security of the app. The platform must not be used for scams, unauthorized recruitment, or any unlawful activity. We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features of the app may require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed within the app. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers, and you agree to their terms where applicable. Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. Refund policies will be applied as stated within the app or at our discretion.

User Content

Users may post or share content within the platform, including profile information and community interactions. You retain ownership of your content; however, by posting, you grant Word of Mouth a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the app for the purpose of operating and improving the service. You are solely responsible for the content you share and must ensure it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

Platform Role & Disclaimer

Word of Mouth acts solely as a platform connecting users and opportunities. We do not employ users, verify all listings, or take responsibility for agreements, communications, or disputes between users, employers, or third parties. Any interactions or engagements made through the app are at your own risk.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms & Conditions, provide false information (including identity details), engage in fraudulent or harmful activity, or misuse the platform in any way. You may also choose to stop using the app and request account deletion at any time.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Word of Mouth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of opportunities, disputes between users, or service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda and Rwanda, depending on the applicable jurisdiction. By using the app, you agree that any legal matters will be handled in accordance with these laws.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal obligations. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised terms.
